Boston city break

It was the middle of winter, but I was keen to travel even through the snow and cold. My friends at Hostelling International offered me a place to stay in Boston, so I grabbed my husband and we took a January weekend to do some hostel photography and explore the city.

The hostel was located in Chinatown, which was seriously perfect for exploring the city – it was an easy walk to 2 subway lines and had a bunch of cheap eats nearby. As an eco-concious traveller, I was super impressed with the hostel’s green initiatives with recycling bins and power saving lights in every room. Plus, who could say no to warming up next to a cosy fireplace after a day of exploring in the cold?

Our weekend also included visits to the adorable suburb of Beacon Hill, a walk around Boston Common and Public Garden, the famous Freedom Trail, Harvard University, Boston Public Library, and the Museum of Fine Art.
